The Ohio State University Multispecies Animal Learning Center
Low Maintenance Wall System for Agricultural Livestock Buildings
Columbus, Ohio – 2025
This project featured a 9-foot-tall precast perimeter wall tied to a pre-engineered metal building. Due to site constraints, the panel sizes were limited to accommodate a smaller crane. Careful planning ensured the design and installation stayed on track.
The project required close coordination with The Ohio State University to meet their regulations, work around academic activities, and align with university staff. Meeting these requirements involved extensive design work to address specific project needs.
Thermomass insulation was also a key element, which adjusted the production process. The panels were produced similarly to sandwich panels, with specially designed bolts to attach them securely to the PEMB structure.
With thoughtful preparation and coordination, the installation was completed efficiently and without delays.
